    Good news and bad news:

    The good news is that the Mypal website works fine under Internet Exploder 8, so there's no need to include Serpent, Mypal, or any other browser in this package. You can strip it all the way down to just the stuff that comes straight from Microsoft, with one exception...

    The bad news is the exception. I just noticed that XP virtual machines won't see my 8TB external hard drive unless (probably) I install Paragon GPT Loader (or maybe enable UEFI support in the virtual machine settings, I have no idea). Unfortunately, that little tool has been unavailable from its original vendor since 2018. I assume you have a clean version archived on your hard drive somewhere, which is how you continue to include it in new versions of Integral Edition. Could you make it available as a separate download so people don't have to delete their virtual machines and start over from the beginning? For that matter, a proper standalone USB 3.0 driver installer would be great too for people who don't want to delete their virtual machines, start over from the beginning, AND screw around with the patch integrator.

      @Katie Boundary Update: According to some sources, Paragon GPT Loader only works for internal hard drives, not external ones. Do you know of any programs that are similar to GPT Loader, but do not suffer this restriction?

      @Katie Boundary Update: WinXP x64 Edition, installed on a physical machine, has no difficulty whatsoever with seeing my 8 TB external hard drive, even when the motherboard is set to legacy BIOS mode instead of UEFI mode. It therefore shouldn't be too hard to get 32-bit XP to do the same thing, unless Virtualbox is getting in the way.

      I'll test XP x64 Edition in a VM and see what happens... oh wait I can't. No USB 3.0 drivers.

      @Katie Boundary If you copy the folder ".\OEM\RunOnce\Programs\Paragon GPT Loader v10.5.0.95" then you can install it manually on any Windows XP.

    I recently tried installing this as a guest machine in VMware. It was able to see my 18-year-old USB 2.0 external hard drive just fine (when I set USB compatibility to USB 2.0), but it can't see any of my USB 3.x hard drives (no matter what VMware's compatibility settings are). The guest machine's device manager says that USB drivers are missing. What's up with that?

      @Katie Boundary UPDATE: Never mind, I was able to fumble my way through the patch integrator thanks to a couple of extremely lucky guesses about how it worked (needing to dump the original iso into the patch integrator directory, .cmd being an executable extension, et cetera). I also checked to see if the patched ISO would work just as well in Oracle Virtualbox, and it does! I guess all that bullshit about the newest version of Vbox still not supporting USB 3.x was just that: bullshit. So now I'm back to using Virtualbox. Bye bye VMware.

    Windows XP + modern hardware = RTC bug

    I observe the strange work of the system time. The system time constantly goes ahead with PC load up to 3-5 minutes a day. When the PC is idle, there is no acceleration of time. This problem occurs on Windows XP only. On Windows 7 or BIOS, time is always accurate - so there are no problems with hardware.

    Enabling / disabling HPET in BIOS/UEFI does not affect the course of time. After several experiments, I found out that the difference in the system time appears due to the load on the PC when switching the system (multimedia) timer 16ms - 1ms - 16ms - 1ms. In this case, the clock begins to rush up to 7-10 seconds ahead of 10 minutes. If the multimedia timer is set to period = 1ms = CONST, then the time is running correctly.

      @Horvat Why are you trying to run XP on modern hardware to begin with? There's no driver support at all. Stick to hardware from 2013-2014 or run it in a virtual machine.

      @Ramsey Oh I see. That's unfortunate, but I totally understand. Thank you for your efforts for the 32 bit version. I plan to replace my existing install of XP on my old 32 bit laptop with this one soon.

      @Anonymous While a Windows XP x64 Integral Edition is possible, it would not include or benefit from the POSready 2009 updates. I'm not sure why you'd want something like that anyway; XP x64 Edition's appeal was in its ability to combine the best of both worlds; to do almost everything XP could do, but also everything that 64-bit versions of Windows could do. Now that Steam, Minecraft, World of Warcraft, all major browsers, etc. have all stopped functioning on XP, this sort of one-OS-fits-all approach isn't viable anymore, and we're forced to rely on either virtual machines or dual-booting with a newer version of Windows (or Linux). And if we're doing that, then we might as well go back to 32-bit XP, which has animated wallpapers and the ability to install and run certain legacy programs that 64-bit XP can't (due to lack of NTVDM).
