Downloaded this to install via Parallels on OSX. Had issues initially with the WinXPPx86IE - setup file not being found on drive during install. Setup still completed as normal and I ran the WinXPPx86IE - setup file manually by coping the ISO files across to the XP desktop from my Mac. Once that was done, it installed all the default adjustments and everything seemed fine. Shutdown the virtual drive, then booted XP back up and I get the following on the login screen - "Win XP is looking for C:\WINDOWS\system32\wlnotify.dll...".

This hangs for about 5-10 minutes before a popup says "Administrator account has been disabled". I click "okay" and it displays the Admin user login. I click on this and it loads me to the desktop as it should do.

Am I doing something wrong? This seems rather impractical to have such a cumbersome and delayed login situation. Any help would be appreciated.

  @Ramsey Installing via ISO.
  I'm running Parallels v14.1.3, which still supports Windows XP. This is evident by the fact I can actually install XP via the ISO. However, for whatever reason I get the aforementioned problem.
  
  During initial install the RunOnce prompt doesn't find the WinXPPx86IE - setup.cmd file on the drive. I can press "1" to scan again, or "0" to skip. I press "0" and it carries on and installs an OG looking XP. I manually run RunOnce via the ISO and it installs all the default options fine. XP reboots and I get logged back into the modded looking version, as if all is working fine.
  
  Once I shut down XP though and load it up, that's when I get the "Win XP is looking for C:\WINDOWS\system32\wlnotify.dll..." hang up - every time. Until it eventually tells me Administrator account has been disabled, I clear that prompt and log in via the Admin user shown and the desktop loads and functions as normal.

  Not sure what this Parallels Desktop is doing to the Windows XP instantiation. Either it's ejecting the ISO to soon or it modifies the ISO or messes up something else.
  Try VirtualBox that's a better Virtual Machine and works on Windows/Linux/Mac.

  @Ramsey Yeah, I don't know. Has me stumped. I have a version of Windows 10 currently installed fine, while having had a non-modded copy of Win XP installed in the past. Just this particular version isn't playing nice. Will keep tinkering, otherwise I might try to locate another version of XP to try, just to see if it does work or not.
  
  In the mean time I'll give VirtualBox a go and see how that fairs.

  @Ramsey Well WUMT in Offline Mode with WSUSSCN2.cab should work, of course no results on an VM with XPIE May build because of updates integrated, but one thing is that WUMT allows you to copy download links from updates, installed or pending. Which is nice, since you can save the links to an .txt file and scrape it with something like DownThemAll or (what I found) a non-extension successor DownZemAll, or with Internet Download Manager.

This looks amazing!
The only bad thing I see here is the removed components.
I can understand ones with server dependencies that have been shut down, like Internet Games and Windows Messenger, but why would the other things get removed? They're a part of what makes Windows unique!

I tried to install it on a desktop Compaq with AMD Athlon 3000.
This installation always freezes at the very end, on the last configuration step.

  Hi, I just tested the program you suggested on my PC(Windows XP Professional SP3 x86 - Integral Edition 2020.5.5) and it works without problems. My antivirus (Comodo AntiVirus) warned me that the installation kit is infected, as well as during the installation I received another notification. The program works without any problems, I tested it with Firefox, Opera, Basilik and Office 2010. I don't know what other programs can be tested with it, but it can be an extra protection for WinXP. In my opinion.

  Thanks for testing sandboxie for me. I'm more relieved to know that it can work on Ramsey's XP and that all browsers run on it. Sandboxie is my main security tool, which takes the place of an antivirus. It's been four years since I gave up using antivirus software forever. If properly configured, the sandboxie replaces well an antivirus and a firewall.
