How to install:
To install MUIs for a specific language:
- Launch MUI\MUISETUP.EXE and select the specific language. TICK ALL CHECKBOXES FOR BEST RESULTS.
Also restart when prompted. - Install MUI.SP3\WindowsXP-KB942766-v6-x86-ENU.exe
Then, to fix System Properties not displaying correctly, copy the SP3 sysdm.cpl to %SystemRoot%\System32 - Install MUI.IE8\IE8MUI-x86-enu.exe
- Install MUI.RDP\WindowsXP-KB969085-x86-ENU.exe
- Install MUI.WMP\wmp11setup_mui***.exe
- Install MUI.WUA\WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe
- Install MUI.WRMC\WindowsRightsManagementServicesSP2-KB979099-Client-x86-***.exe package for your language.
- If MCE 2005 is installed, install one of the localpacks in MUI.LOCPACK.MCE - not all languages are supported.
- If .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 is installed (mandatory with MCE 2005) install one of the localpacks in MUI.Dotnet11 - not all languages supported
- If .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 or 4.0 is installed, apply the appropriate MUI pack in MUI.Dotnet35_Dotnet40
- If Tablet PC is installed, apply MUI.TabletPC\setup.exe
- If Windows Desktop Search 4.0 is installed apply MUI.WDS\WindowsSearch-KB940157-XP-x86-Mui.exe
- If XPS Viewer is installed, apply the appropriate language pack from MUI.XPSEP\XPSDRV.MUI.
In addition to that, run the MUI.XPSEP\XPSEP.MUI.exe silent self-extracting installer. - If Windows Powershell is installed, apply the appropriate language pack from MUI.WMF. Only a few languages are supported.
Now change language from Control Panel. Logoff and logon. Done.
To change language settings, launch %SystemRoot%\mui\muisetup.exe and select another language with all boxes ticked.
Reboot, and then apply user-specific settings from Control Panel. Logoff and logon.
